What to do after you see X-Men Days of Future Past?

Age of Apocalypse Omnibus

By far, one of the most anticipated movies of the year, X-men Days of Future Past came out this past Friday, and boy did it not disappoint. I will have a review up on this movie later, but to me, this movie was completely awesome and it by far exceeded my expectations. With that out of the way, what do you need to know before you see it? Absolutely nothing, for the most part. The only thing I would suggest is you familiarize yourself with the original and first class cast, other than that I won’t get into any of the spoilers.

Now the what most people want to know, is what should I do after I see Days of Future Past?  First off you could read Days of Future Past, which is Uncanny X-Men #141-#142 (1981), but if you buy the Days of Future Past book it will include Uncanny X-Men #138-143. As a suggestion before you read Days of Future Past, just know the movie is different from what really happened in the comics, mainly because Hugh Jackman, Wolverine, and Jennifer Lawrence, Raven, are very bankable at the moment, so just know that it’s very different.

Now you have already read and seen Days of Future Past, what comes after? We all know that the next installment in the franchise is called X-Men: Apocalypse, which would draw its material from the comic story arch Age of Apocalypse, and FYI, the guy at the end scene of X-Men: Days of Future Past is in fact Apocalypse.  Now, much like most crossovers in the comic world, Age of Apocalypse has a lot of tie ins.  For the sake of listing all the different comics check out this link: https://www.comixology.com/Age-of-Apocalypse-Sale/page/2096[/embed].
